Dubai Food Photographer · UAE
Tom Jose is a Dubai food photographer providing professional food and hospitality photography for restaurants, hotels, and food brands across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.
Why Highskyart
Highskyart is a personal brand of Tom Jose, one of the most renowned food photographers in Dubai, built around one goal — making a dish look as good on screen as it tastes on the plate. Working as a food photographer in Dubai means understanding how a single overhead shot can sell a menu, how steam, texture and colour need to hold up across a delivery app thumbnail and a billboard, and how the right light turns a plated dish into something a customer stops scrolling for.
The portfolio spans major restaurants, 5 star hotels, menu shoots, hotel dining and room service catalogues, café and bakery ranges, and F & B brand campaigns across Dubai and the wider UAE — covering flat lays, 45-degree hero shots, close-up texture detail and styled table setups for print, social and delivery platforms.
Every shoot is planned around how the food will actually be used — a menu redesign, an Instagram feed, a packaging refresh, or a seasonal campaign — so the final images do more than look appetising, they work for the brand.
Alongside food and beverage photography, Tom shoots interior, hotel and real estate photography across the UAE — so hospitality clients can book one team for both their spaces and their menu.

Questions We Get Asked
Food photography is a race against the clock. Steam, glaze, char, the crisp edge of a sear — all of it starts fading within a couple of minutes of a dish leaving the pass. An experienced food photographer isn't just composing a nice shot; they're reading the dish, the light and the angle fast enough to capture it while it's still warm and fresh, because there usually isn't a second take once the moment's gone.
I actually started out as a designer and photographer for Hilton in Kuwait, using my own camera on hotel shoots purely out of interest. One day our General Manager, Andreas Bossard, asked if I could photograph a few dishes at the hotel's Thai restaurant, Blue Elephant. Those shots came out well, word spread, and food photography slowly became a core part of what I do — eventually bringing me to Dubai to shoot for hotels and restaurants across the city.
Hotel and resort interior and architectural photography is the other side of my work — the two go hand in hand, since hotels usually need both their spaces and their menus photographed. I'm also a licensed drone pilot certified by the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India), which comes in handy for aerial and exterior shots of resorts and properties.
I've shot food and hospitality photography for a long list of 5-star hotels and restaurants across Dubai, including Marriott Al Jaddaf, Lapita Resort at Dubai Parks and Resorts, One&Only Hotel Zabeel, Adagio by Accor, W Hotel and Anantara Palm, along with restaurant groups like City Max Clay Port, Al Safadi, Lavang, Chili's, and Al Hallab. Every one of them needed the same thing — images that make a dish look as good on screen as it does on the pass.
"Tom has an extraordinary ability to turn a plate of food into a piece of art. Every time we commission a shoot — whether in Dubai or Riyadh — the results exceed expectation. He is simply the best food photographer we have worked with in the region."
