Food Photography at Lavang | Dubai
Lavang is a newly opened Fine Dine upscale Indian restaurant located on in Downtown Dubai, just steps from Burj Khalifa, on one of the most popular streets of the world : The Boulevard Street | Dubai.
The shoot came about after I was informed by their group owner, Mr. Ashok Carla, who is also one of the founding partners of the Mughal Mahal group of restaurants in Kuwait — a highly popular restaurant chain there. I've been shooting Mughal Mahal's food and interior photography for more than a decade, so when Lavang opened in Dubai, it was a natural continuation of a long working relationship rather than a first introduction. I believe that this is an honour for almost 10 years of trust and quality work as a professional food photographer | hotel photographer that I give to the clients.
Lavang is a beautiful name for a restaurant and the dishes are extremly tasty as I had the lucky chance to try many of the dishes during the food photography sessions at Lavang Restaurant.
Two shoots, one full story
I had two food photography sessions with the Lavang team — one before the restaurant opened its doors, and a second, more detailed shoot covering the full menu once service was underway. Alongside those, I also covered the interior photography and Video reels for the restaurant, from the dining room to the small design details that make the space feel like Boulevard Street's newest upscale address.
Both shoots went smoothly, taking more than 100 images and you could see some of the images taken from the food photoshoot.
